Les oor kristalle: Suiker sal altyd weer probeer om terug te gaan na sy kristal struktuur. Dit beteken dat as daar in ‘n stroop nie ‘n suur is, dat suiker kristalle, wanneer daar wel ‘n kristal teenwoordig is, die suiker aan hierdie kristal sal begin bind en dan sandsuiker vorm. Dit neem etlike dae om dit te bereik.

3 k suiker
1 k water
kleursel van keuse
sosatie stokkies
ekstra suiker

Plaas suiker en water in ‘n kastrol en smelt baie stadig oor lae hitte. Was die kante van die kastrol met ‘n kwassie en water af. Bring tot kookpunt en kook vir 2 minute. Kleur die suiker stroop.

Giet die stroop in ‘n vuurvaste glas fles wat lank, maer en regop is sodat die stokkie daarin kan hang en bedek kan word met die stroop.

Doop die stokkie in water en rol dan die stokkie in suiker. Merk tot waar jy die kristalle wil laat groei. Neem ‘n wasgoed pennetjie of dik karton en posisioneer dit oor die bottel en hang die stokkie daaraan.

Die kristalle sal oor 7 dae begin klou en vorm. Sit die bottel in direkte son.

Lekker groei aan jou kristalle.
