Melkkos met ‘n Twist- Gluten vry!

Vandag was dit kortpad dag in die Pienaar woning. Die Filistyne was lus vir ‘n happie soet en dit was reënerig maar een probleem…die koekmeel vir Melkkos was klaar. Deur die rakke gekrap en die sago so gekyk en gedink, van jou gaan ek Melkkos met ‘n Twist maak: Gluten vry…Die bak is boomskraap geëet!

750 ml (3 k) melk (vir variasie kan daar 1 k klappermelk uitgeruil word)
250 ml (1 k) water
250 ml (1 k) sago / tapioca
3 e botter
¼ k witsuiker of versoeter na keuse
1 kaneel stokkie

Neem ‘n diep kastrol en smeer die bodem van die kastrol met die botter. Plaas die res van die bestanddele in die kastrol en week vir 60 minute.

Verhit die mengsel oor matige hitte en sodra dit kook, roer effens, en kook vir 45 minute tot glansend.

Bedien warm met ekstra room, kaneelsuiker of stroop soos Esdoring (maple) of heuning.
